I have been using Phase Converters from Smith Electric Motorworks/ GWM since 1998 when I installed a plasma power supply CNC cutting table. It has been very efficient and trustworthy. Last winter I upgraded to a larger plasma cutter (power supply) and I purchased another larger rotary converter from Smith Electric. I had several conversations with the Smith Electric team and they did a great job finding the right converter for my needs. They have a variety of converters for many different applications. If you do not have 3 phase power in your shop, this has been the best solution for me and it is very cost effective.
I recently purchased a custom 3 phase converter from them after being referred by Sedalia Electric Motors. Turnaround was super fast and the product works great.
